Last night we had the privilege of eating at the Boulder Dushanbe Tea House with my soon-to-be sister-in-law. What a gorgeous…absolutely magnificent venue for dining or simply taking tea. D & B were quite taken with the dining room’s koi pond centerpiece. For my part, it was the painted ceiling and carved columns & wall panels.

The food wasn’t too bad either, quite fancy in fact. We discovered that Bode is a rabid fan of figs. He seriously did not let anyone else consume a whole fig. He ate at least a part of every single one. Who knew!? But what will likely stick with me was the tea. I ordered Snow Blossom. It was a green tea with various flowers and herbs. Mild, aromatic, beautiful, even sitting all soggy in the steeping basket. I love tea and sharing tea with loved ones is a special thing for me. I have several “tea” friends and I can barely stand to know we’ll likely never share tea at Boulder Dushanbe Tea House. But Penny (and Amy and Mom,) get your butt up there anyway. It will blow your mind! Plus, then you can stroll Pearl Street afterwards like we did. And there is a Ben & Jerry’s just 3 blocks away.
